Microscope Accessories and Replacement Parts
General accessories and parts for use with microscopes. Products include lens oil, lens cleaner, slide dispensers, microscope covers, vessel holders, light cubes, and flow cells.
Many parts of your microscope can be updated or replaced including microscope lamps, lenses, and eyepieces. Replacement lamps, light sources, and power cords can extend the working lives of your microscopy equipment. New or replacement objectives and lenses can help increase the total magnification available with your microscope.
Add greater magnification or exchange your eyepiece for one with a reticule to more easily estimate the sizes of the items being viewed.
Replace or update your mechanical stage or clamps or add cell culture vessel adapters to facilitate specimen positioning.
Condensers can also be replaced, and conversion kits are available to add phase contrast, polarization, fluorescence, or other capabilities to your current system.
Some microscopes can be adapted for use with still or video cameras. Look for cameras and adapters designed for your specific microscope brand. Film and documentation-related products may also be available to support your record-keeping.
Temporary, semi-permanent, and more long-term slide storage options include:
- Slide racks that securely hold slides during staining procedures
- Folding fiberboard or plastic slide holders with horizontal indentations that keep microscope slides in place
- Slide storage boxes with vertical dividers; made from fiberboard, plastic, and wood and available in multiple sizes
- Slide holders and mailers for transporting slides safely
- Slide storage systems and cabinets for large quantities of slides or archival storage

Cargille PCB-Free Immersion oils were introduced in 1972. Today, no other immersion oil meets FDA criteria. For horizontal, inverted and inclined instruments and projection equipment where higher viscosities are generally required. THORLABS INC MOIL-10LF, 10 mm Focal Length, Low Magnification Objective Lens
The Thorlabs MOIL-10LF is a 10mm focal length, f/1.5 aspheric lens made of N-BK7 glass. It has an anti-reflection coating for the visible spectrum from 350-700nm. The lens has a diameter of 6.35mm and a working distance of 5.0mm. It is designed for laser beam collimation and focusing applications. The lens is optimized for 532nm, but can be used from 350-700nm. It has a damage threshold of 500 MW/cm2 at 532nm. The lens weighs 2 grams.

These scales are used for the measuring of lengths of specimen or distances between points on a variety of different shaped objects. By dividing the division of the chosen graticule by the magnification of the objective one obtains an approximate value that each division will represent on the stage. Horizontal micrometer scale.

Sapphire Substrate Disc, �25.4mm x 0.5mm (�1" x 0.020"), polished. The PELCO� Sapphire Discs or wafers are made from high purity clear sapphire (Al2O3), ground and optically clear polished on both sides. (Technical Data for Sapphire). Sapphire has a wide transmission range; from 150 to 6000nm with low absorbance in the 300 to 4500nm range. The discs are ideal as substrates for thin film research and are suitable for optical research. Excellent resistance against a wide range of chemicals. Surface polish to one microinch or better on each face. Tolerances are �0.001" (0.025mm) in diameter and thickness; flatness to 0.0003" (0.0008mm) or better.
